ARCCA Wildfire Resilience: Returning to Our Roots

Wildfire Resilience: Returning to Our Roots

Thursday, November 5th | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Following years of devastating wildfires, California is in the midst of another record-breaking wildfire season that has enveloped the state in smoke, pushed our firefighting capacity to its limits, and taken the lives of dozens of Californians. What’s fueling these fires and where do we go from here? How can we learn from Indigenous practices and past emergency response and recovery efforts to equitably and rapidly build wildfire resilience?

Join the Alliance of Regional Collaboratives for Climate Adaptation (ARCCA) and the California Adaptation Forum (CAF) as we explore these questions and more with:

  • Joe Hostler | Environmental Program Director, Yurok Tribe
  • Christopher Godley | Director of Emergency Management, Sonoma County
  • Nuin-Tara Key | Deputy Director for Climate Resilience, Governor’s Office of Planning and Research
