The NCRP is pleased to offer implementation funding for projects that help meet the long-term water needs of the state, including:

  • Assisting water infrastructure systems adapt to climate change;
  • Providing incentives throughout each watershed to collaborate in managing the region’s water resources; and
  • Improving regional water self-reliance.

The NCRP anticipates allocating $8,480,000 in funding for the implementation of Priority Projects through the Proposition 1 Integrated Regional Water Management program funding. For more information, see the webpage link below.

On November 4, the NCRP received 24 project proposals for a total grant request of over $24.6 M, with funding match of over $17.3 M and total cost of nearly$42 M.

The NCRP Technical Peer Review Committee reviewed the proposals during the month of November and met on December 1 & 2, to review the project application materials as a group and  developed a recommended suite of priority projects for inclusion into the regional proposal. During the December 9th NCRP Quarterly Meeting, the Leadership Council unanimously approved the TPRC recommendation that included a list of priority projects for inclusion in the NCRP Proposition 1 IRWM Round 2 Implementation Regional Grant to be submitted to the Department of Water Resources on February 1, 2023
