Redwood Region GHG Calculator and Forestry Diagnostic Tool Info Session and Training
Join Mendocino County Resource Conservation District (MCRCD) online for an informational training on the development and use of this GHG Calculator tool and how it can help inform future forest management decisions.
The Redwood Region GHG Calculator Tool was designed to assist landowners and resource professionals in identifying management options to improve forest health and resilience in two ways:
- It calculates plot and stand summaries from sampled plot data. The stand data are informative in terms of understanding current density metrics as they relate to forest health and as they relate to current carbon storage and timber volumes.
- The tool facilitates a view into the future as the forest stand conditions are subjected to varying management options and potential wildfire events.
