The demonstration projects were designed to test concepts, methods, and innovative techniques to identify effective management practices for hazardous fuel load reduction and forest health that can be quantified and scaled up in the region and elsewhere.<strong> <\/strong>These demonstration projects \u2013 while focused on forest management and hazardous fuel load reduction \u2013 were intentionally targeted to integrate with community preparedness and fire adapted community efforts funded by other sources. Lessons learned from these projects are integrated into the Plan and will be shared throughout the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Demonstration Projects also create an opportunity to expand and enhance cross-boundary collaboration between regional partners.
